Agenda Widget 1.3.0

UPDATE: release new version to market fixing astrid bug and launcher pro shenanigans

Version numbers are moving at a nicer speed these days... 1.3.0 is out!

  • Scrolling function for all view types
  • Basic "Show tasks with due date" filter
  • Rejigged entire building/formatting code (for performance reasons) hopefully will fix refresh problems
  • Fixed multi day events with different start/end times (i think!)
  • Optimized some of the font rendering to save memory - incomplete
  • Added option for "exchange" all day events, i.e. any event that has the same start and end time and when divided by one day has no remainder
  • Cleaned up scrolling widgets
  • Made the instructions wizard a bit better for new users

Bugs:

  • Still some formatting issues with multi day events

Scrolling limitations

  • It might crash? I have no idea, send logs!

Plus vs Free

Because of the nature of this update, the two version are in sync at the moment. I will be releasing another update for plus users soon with some bonus features, so don't feel slighted :)

Please, one question:
I input some schedule on google calendar in my desktop....but dont show in agenda widget.
My account is checked to sync all time.
Jus this.

 The actual Google calendar application handles the synchronization between your phone and the web. Agenda widget only grabs the data from the Google calendar applications database. The Google calendar syncs every so often, you can get homescreen buttons that force a sync I think...

How ANDROIID (google os) will not sync perfectly with your Google Agenda ?
 
 

Still can't show date once in "in line" mode

When switch to in line mode, it still show date for every events in same day.
Change setting in Event Display Settings --> Show date once,  nothing happens.
I've tried to reboot and still the same.
 
Hope you can fix this soon.

So, I installed 1.3.0 and enabled scrolling... something weird.
 
If I click an event, the summary screen comes up, I select edit from the menu, and the time and date defaults to today's date in 1970, and the event is from 12am to 12am.
 
I know it's beta, but I thougth I would mention it in case you didn't already know about it.
 
BTW, disabling scrolling support seems to correct for that problem.

ok, so using version 1.3
motorola cliq firmware 1.5
trying to add a calendar to the widget but dont know how and dont know if its possible
no trouble viewing my gmail calendar
trying to add my wife's gmail calendar
but dont know how or if its possible with my android version

Hey Julian, get your wife to share her calendar with you using the browser version of google calendar, if you select it in the browser version it should sync to your phone eventually

we did that this morning
i sent her the request to share her calendar
she accepted
i went through the whole set up and sync process on gmail
launched my agenda, went into settings, selected choose calendars, and only mine is available
was there something more withing the calendar program in my gmail i was suppose to do?

Make sure her calendar is highlighted in the browser.
On the phone go in to the sotkc calendar (e.g. google calendar) and check if her calendar has shown up in th list of available calendars. If not go to Phone Settings->Accounts and Sync, you should be able to force a sync in here. Go back to the main calendar app and see if its available now. If so ensure it is ticked and it *should* show in Agenda Widget!

i would have paid for this one (so you know)
just needed to perform a google sync
brought it up immediately in the agenda afterwards
trying to change the colors (my appts blue, hers pink)
is there a quick way to do that?

You have to change calendar colors in the pc browser, if I modify it in the phones database a sync overwrites my change. Its possible to update it at googles end with code, just haven't had time to make an app to do it.

Which change log button are you using? The one in the application drawer or the one in the settings->menu button (the latter is totally broken I just keep forgetting to remove it).
Plus vs Free chart... I will get to that soon, however in this release, they are the same as I thought everyone deserve to have scrolling!

 Thanks for adding the scrolling feature!  Unfortuately, when I tried to turn the new feature on, none of my calendar entries appeared.  I'm using ADWLauncher if that makes any difference.  Let me know if you need logs or anything, and thanks again for the great work!
